TradingTune

Honest strategy optimization, made accessible.

TradingTune is a browser extension that automates the tedious part of building a TradingView strategy: trying parameter combinations one by one to see which hold up. It runs the search for you, right inside TradingView's own strategy dialog, so you spend your time judging results instead of editing inputs by hand.

What TradingTune is

TradingTune installs as a Chrome or Brave extension and works on top of TradingView in your browser. When you open a strategy's settings, it appears in the same Inputs dialog you already use. You give it a range for each parameter you want to tune, choose one of seven optimization methods, and it drives the backtester through the plan automatically, one combination per optimization cycle, streaming results into a sortable table as it goes.

It is free to start: up to 10 optimization cycles per day, with no API keys. A free account and sign-in are required to run, so we can track that daily allowance. Pro removes the daily limit for traders running large sweeps and long Bayesian searches.

An independent tool, not a TradingView product

We want to be plain about this. TradingTune is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TradingView, Inc. We do not have privileged access to TradingView, and we use no API keys. The extension automates the same strategy dialog any user can open, which is exactly why your strategies and results never have to leave your browser.

Our mission

Rigorous strategy optimization has long been the preserve of people who could write their own code or pay for heavyweight platforms. Manual tuning inside TradingView is slow and easy to fudge, and it quietly rewards whoever has the patience to re-run inputs the most times. We think that is the wrong skill to reward.

Our mission is to make rigorous, honest strategy optimization accessible to any trader who uses TradingView. That means real search algorithms instead of guesswork, results you can read and compare on their merits, and clear guidance on the part most tools stay quiet about: not overfitting. If you take one habit from us, let it be a healthy suspicion of a curve that looks too perfect. Our guide on how to avoid overfitting is where that starts.

What we stand for

Independent, by design

TradingTune is an independent Chrome and Brave extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TradingView, Inc. We build on top of TradingView's strategy dialog the same way you would use it by hand, with no special access and no API keys.

Local-first for your strategy data

Your strategies, parameter ranges, and results stay in your browser. They are never uploaded to us. The only data that syncs to the server is your daily optimization cycle count and your account ID, which is all we need to track the free tier.

Rigor over hype

Every run drives a real optimization algorithm, not a random sweep dressed up as one. We document how each method searches so you can judge the result, and we point you toward the habits that keep optimized parameters honest.

Accountable and reachable

There is a real team behind the tool and a real address to reach it. When something breaks, when a charge looks wrong, or when you want your data handled a certain way, you can contact a person who answers.

Who is accountable

TradingTune is operated by the TradingTune Support Team. We publish our privacy policy and terms of service in full, and we keep a single point of contact for support, billing, and privacy requests. If you need to reach a person, our contact page has the details.

Want to see the work rather than read about it? Our strategy backtests show optimized results next to a plain buy and hold benchmark, so you can judge the difference for yourself. If you are weighing your options, see how TradingTune compares against the criteria that matter in a strategy optimizer.
